Gazette - 27/1/1926 - Obituary - His Excellency the Governor regrets to announce the death on January 15th 1926 at Nairobi of Mr Mervyn H. Reid, Veterinary Officer. Mr Reid entered the service of this Colony on the 3rd October 1914. He served with the Expeditionary Force during the war in German East Africa and was well known throughout the force as a most efficient officer.
Up to a few months ago he had been Veterinary Officer in charge of the Kenya-Rumuruti areas where his genial good nature won him many friends and his professional ability a host of admirers. By his death the Veterinary Department loses a most capable and efficient officer.
