Web DNW - As a Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, he was granted a commission on 14 July 1915 on the Unattached List for the Indian Army. On 28 October 1915 he was attached to the 36th Sikhs. He retired with the rank of Captain on 20 Nov 1922. Bourdillon then took up farming in Kenya, serving in the Territorial Reserve there. For his services he was awarded the Efficiency Decoration (Kenya). …………. He died in 1981
