Web - GenForum - 2008 - John Roycroft looking for the grave of Stanley Kent who died aged 26 in Kenya on 19 Dec 1925. Stanley served in WW1 and emigrated to East Africa aged 22 in 1922.
John Roycroft - GenForum - He was apparently engaged to a lady called Gladys Hall (born in Kenya, dau of William Hall b. 1859). I understand that the Halls were farmers in Thika. I understand he gave up a job at a bank in Nairobi to go hunting with a South African. Whilst in Sudan he is meant to have caught pneumonia. My family believe that he died at Meru and is buried there. I have a book that belonged to Stanley and it says Stanley Kent c/o Meru PO so this concurs with the Meru information.
