Kill - One dark night in the middle of 1909, the popular principal Medical Officer Dr. A.D. Milne, cycled right into a black-maned lion on Railway Hill. It was a toss up as to which was the more surprised by the unexpected collision! The front wheel of "Daddy" Milne's bicycle was badly buckled.

I wonder how many meals we partook of with him and his equally delightful wife in a bungalow which I never remember save as crammed to capacity with exuberant settlers, headed by Berkeley Cole and Tich Miles, who looked on it as their town house.
