Golf - Great golfer. Present at the formation meeting of Mombasa Golf Club in 1911. Elected Captain in 1912/13, 1918, 1922, 1930. Winner of the Barry Cup (Coast Championship) in 1913. He presented the Cup for a Coast Championship - but an open event.                                             'In 1910 Percy Barry arrived in Mombasa from S. Africa with a box of gold coin and opened the first branch in EA of the Standard Bank of S. Africa Ltd., in a building in Ndia Kuu which is still standing [1995] .....' - Source - Robert G.
