He is a very greatly experienced business man, a wise counsellor, and a reliable guide when circumstances arise that obscure right decisions and balanced judgements. His office in the Trust Chambers gives no indication of the nature of his work. On its door is just his name; but that name is throughout Kenya a synonym for faithful, kindly, understanding, sympathetic service towards desired good ends, from the rectification of mercantile errors or misapprehensions to abstruse technical matters or involved partnership and other business tangles.

The flotation of and reorganisation of companies, the investigation of estates and their management, the best ways and means in connection with innumerable commercial and industrial interests come within the wide scope of Mr Trone's extraordinary versatility of knowledge and experience …………… When he was 21 Mr Trone was the Accountant of an English railway company; and when he was 25 he was appointed to the London managership of the renowned firm of Bird & Co., Calcutta ………. Mr Trone has been practising at Nairobi since 1923, and his clientele extends throughout the colony and adjacent territories.
