Stephen Morad: her name listed among the second party of AIM missionaries to arrive in Kenya in 1896 (John W. Stauffacher, "History of the Africa Inland Mission," unpublished manuscript, c.1915, p. 6, Archives of the Billy Graham Center, Wheaton, IL). Stauffacher notes that the party left New York for Kenya on June 13, 1896 and arrived in Mombasa on August 7 1896. After some difficulty hiring porters to carry their goods, the party reached the initial AIM mission station, Nzawi, on September 22, 1896. The founder and leader of the mission, Peter Cameron Scott, died of malaria on December 4 1896. Stauffacher notes that Miss Edwards was at Nzawi when Scott died and helped in the preparation of his burial (p.9) and shortly afterwards returned to America (p.11).
