Foster - Arrived in Kenya in February 1927. She was a fully qualified and trained nurse and she worked in CMS Maseno Hospital. In 1951 she was appointed to be the Senior Sister Maseno CMS Hospital. In 1954 she was appointed to be the Matron at the Hospital. She trained generations of nurses and midwives in the highest ideal of her profession and was responsible for sending the first Luo girl to England for midwifery training. She retired on 16 November 1961
