General Information:
A Scotsman initially recruited labour for the settlers. Then ended up owning the Kisii Hotel which was patronised by people travelling between Kericho, Sotik, Kisumu and the Tanganyika border and later to the Macalder Gold Mines. His son, Major Barclay, an accountant and A.M. worked together before he moved to be the personnel manager for Gailey & Roberts Ltd., Nairobi.
