Patrick Bruce Junor came up to Emmanuel College, Cambridge, in 1900 to read Natural Sciences, but did not graduate.
He emigrated to East Africa (either Kenya or Uganda) before joining the East Africa Regiment at the start of the Great War.
He was killed on 23 June 1915 at Bukoba, (a port on Lake Victoria in German East Africa) in a raid during the early part of the East African campaign to destroy the German radio station, and, after initial burial there, was re-buried in the Commonwealth War Graves site outside Dar es Salaam where his grave remains today.
