Campling - "slim, dark-haired Eric Morris, who was one of the flying instructors, came in and , pointing to a Tiger Moth asked if it was ready for flight. On being told that it was he asked Keith [Campling] to take her out and then enquired if he would like to come up for the ride. Morris warned that he would be practising 'instructor's patter' but said he was welcome to come anyway ………
At the end of the war Eric Morris, who had been with Wilson Airways prewar, joined East African Airways Corporation and became one of their senior captains and along with Pat Travers was chosen to fly the then Princess Elizabeth on an air safari to Uganda in 1952 during her honeymoon.
