General Information:
Originally offered a job by his uncle P.H. Clarke, but for some reason there was a 'falling out' and he went up to Uganda where he joined John Farley in an auction business. That went bankrupt - then went to a gold mine in Mara, Tanganyika. That did not last too long. Went to Kericho in about 1940, and remained there until about 1952 when he retired from Brooke Bonds.
