General Information:

Chandler - Charlie Goss was an almost legendary character who hunted the remote areas of Kenya, Tanganyika, the Ituri Forest, the Sudan, the Belgian Congo, Ubangi-Shari, and Rwanda for 40 years. A friend of J.A. Hunter, Goss had a professional licence in Kenya from 1926-1940. With over 1000 elephant to his credit he preferred a .600 Jeffery double rifle. He once fired a single shot with this rifle through two adult buffalo bulls. At this distance in time it is impossible to know Charlie Goss, but one gets the clear impression that he was quite a character. He had a William Tell act that he would perform in bars for drinks. This ended when he shot the ear off his accomplice.
