Ken Greathead - Dr Walter Edward Kelbe - bought land in a syndicate with his wife's family (father-in-law, CBC Roberts, and his sons Cecil (Bobbie) and Arthur Roberts) in the Burnt Forest area (4000 acres) around 1910. Dr Kelbe practised in Nairobi before WW1, then in 1916-18 served with the South African Forces in the Tanganyika Campaign after which he returned to farming and doctoring. He died in Mombasa where he was buried in Jun 1943.
His wife Trixie remained farming and died in Nov 1954 and was buried in Eldoret. Their eldest daughter Carna was married to Jack Mills farming in Burnt Forest, she died and was buried Eldoret (1938)
