Gazette - 2/12/1925 - Obituary - His Excellency the Governor regrets to announce the death at Nairobi of Mr Frederick Strawbridge, Chief Sanitary Inspector, in the Medical Department on 29 November 1925.
Mr Strawbridge entered the service of the Colony on 20 May 1914. He was appointed on first arrival to the Health Office at Mombasa and after the outbreak of the War rendered valuable service as Officer in Charge of a large carrier collecting camp in South Kavirondo. Mr Strawbridge was promoted Senior Sanitary Inspector in January 1922 and Chief Sanitary Inspector in January 1924. His work was always of the highest order and the services which he rendered as Secretary to the Central Board of Health were specially noteworthy.
