Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate 26 Mar 1938 Edinburgh Information from his son Alasdair Sinton and obituary-East African Standard and Daily Nation 19 April 1973 Jack Lew Sinton was born in Perth, Scotland on 30/07/ 1910, and studied at Royal High School in Edinburgh. Aged 18 he migrated to Kenya and settled in Songhor in Nyanza Province where he took up farming. Jack played rugby and joined the local team Nandi Bears in 1929, headquartered at the Nandi Bears Club in Nandi Hills. Sinton later served as Vice President and President of the Rugby Football Union of East Africa in 1957 and 1958. He died in Nairobi on 17th April 1973.
