General Information:

Later Lady Cook was awarded the MBE. From 1914-17 he was in charge of Mengo Base Hospital. Over the years contributed many articles in the NMJ. President of the Uganda Branch of the British Medical Association, in 1928 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Africa Society. For a number of years he was Consulting Physician to the Government European Hospital, Uganda  
Permanent Way - During the Sudanese mutiny in Dec. 1897 - Jan 1898 arrived at Luba's with Rev. G. Pilkington bringing ammunition and 1600 Baganda to help Macdonald.

Chandler - Knighted in 1932, and attended the coronation of George VI on one of their few trips back home. His record in several conflicts (from the Nubian Mutiny to the World War) brought him 2 British Orders, a Belgian Order, 3 war medals, numerous clasps and 3 Mentions in Despatches.
