EA Stud Book 1954 - Cattle - Ayrshires - H.R. Munro, Nakuru
Wolseley-Lewis - After WW2 - Hector Munro was the Commandant of the Prisoner of War camp at Lanet, near Nakuru. Wolseley-Lewis - We stayed with Hector Munro, who had married Daphne, the daughter of a well-known local family, the Swinburne Wards. While we were in camp in the Kenya Regiment at Eldoret I helped, having a car, to bring them together at weekends while they were engaged. Hector I had known well in coffee before the war. He and Daphne had bought land at Dundori, not far from Nakuru. It was very rich land there and Hector had planted pyrethrum and was doing very well. He had built a very nice two-storey house, using Italian prisoners-of-war, artisans from the camp he was in charge of.

Pre-war volunteer to the Kenya Regiment (KR 768)
