Findagrave comment by 'Dolly' 2nd Lt George James Glassford 10/971 1st Wellington Battalion served at Gallipoli and in France a total number of 4 years and 213 days. He was wounded on July 22nd and missed the August offensive however he went back to Gallipoli once he was discharged from Cairo. In 1919 he migrated to Kenya and started a coffee plantation. He was born in Napier in 1891 and went to the Napier Boys High School from 1905-1907.
