Howard Smith (grandson): He was first at Lumbwa, because both Kathleen and Marjorie were born there in 1921 & 1922 respectively.    By 1925 he was in Gilgil where John was born.   He did work at Kabete at times  and spent a lot of time in the Eldoret area, and spent the latter part of his life at Kipkabus.  The Ainabkoi listing likely refers to visits he made to Miniota Farm, as he was good friends with my father (Peter Gray Allison Smith) due to a common interest in horses and racing. Then my father married Randall's daughter, Marjorie, so he came to visit her on occasion.  I remember him well.  He was highly regarded as a horse vet in the Uasin Gishu  (Eldoret) area. Randall married twice.  His first wife was Dorothea Anne Howard.  Born 15 Aug 1883 in Stroud, Gloucestershire.  Died 20 Aug 1928 in Nakuru and buried in Nakuru (although her grave does not show up on the EA Memorials website).   He subsequently married Nancy Bay in about 1933.  The marriage did not last long and I believe ended in about 1940.
