Responsible for the upkeep of Kericho Golf Course until failing health caused him to give up. Captain of Kericho Golf Club in 1931. Joint Chairman of Kericho Golf Club in 1932.
His wife ran the shop 'Adele' in Nairobi - see her entry under Shapley
Ian Macfarlane: The photo of George was taken 15/11/16. He is a Captain in the RFC. He was working for Clement Talbot before the war. The factory was requisitioned by Rolls Royce for building aircraft engines and he oversaw the work. He was a motor engineer, so looking after the golf club was rather different.
