Lander - 1950 - Bob Sale, the owner of the farm next door to Endebess Club: a charming individual, well known to be better at, and fonder of, golf than farming, and he was talking of selling his farm. .….…… what an awful farm it was. Nothing ever grew; it was all rock. It was full of couch grass .…. There were no implements. The old house was awful, there were no roads, no stores, no fencing, and only 150 acres of the 500 were arable. It was too steep, and must suffer badly from wash in the rains. There were no drains, no terraces - in fact it was a hopeless proposition, and that was why Bob hadn't been able to make a go of it.

First played in the EA Amateur Golf Championship in 1934. Winner of the Trans-Nzoia Championship in 1930. Runner-up in the Trans-Nzoia Championship in 1937/38.
