General Information:
Letter from Mrs D. Graham - He died only a few years ago aged 93. All six children in the family were born in Grahamstown where their father was Resident Magistrate. The town was named after their grandfather who was Colonel of his regiment, the town originally being a garrison town. Reginald Moray was always called George (except by his mother). He went to Sandhurst and then the Indian Army during WW1. After the war he came under the Geddes axe and used his gratuity to go to Oxford and read forestry, subsequently coming to Kenya and joining the forestry department where he spent his working life, most of it at Londiani. After retirement he bought a plot on the Marlborough Estate outside Nairobi where he made a wonderful garden. At Independence he and his wife moved to Spain but as they got older realised that medical care in Spain was impossibly costly, so once again he left a lovely garden and settled in Windsor.
