Gazette - 1/3/1902 - A desire having been expressed by the friends of the late Mr Bradbridge to place a tablet to his memory in the English Church, Mombasa, the undersigned will receive subscriptions (which are limited to 5 rupees) for the purpose - A. Marsden, Mombasa - A. Alexander, Zanzibar - H.P. Espie, Nairobi.
Gazette - July 1901 - It is with extreme regret that we have to announce the death of Mr E. Bradbridge, Treasurer of the East Africa Protectorate. Mr Bradbridge died from apoplexy on Friday the 2nd instant at Djibouti 'en route' for Europe to spend his four months furlough.
Mr Bradbridge joined the London Staff of the IBEA Co. On 1st March 1890 previous to which time he spent some years in Ceylon; in 1894 he was selected for special service at Mombasa; in 1895 he was transferred to the EAP service as Treasurer which post he held up to the time of his death.
Mr Bradbridge's kindliness of heart and keen sympathy have won the affection of all who knew him; his death will be felt as a loss by all and especially by his brother officers who worked with him in the pioneering days of this country. The sad news was quite unexpected and caused profound grief throughout the Protectorate.
