East Africa & Rhodesia - 15/5/52 - The Rev. Canon Edward Seabrooke Daniell, OBE, who has died in this country at the age of 72, served with the Church Missionary Society in Uganda from 1902 to 1935. He was first chaplain of Kampala, and founder, builder and first warden of the Bishop Tucker Memorial College in Mukono. A canon of Namirembe Cathedral, he became archdeacon in 1931, but retired 4 years later and became rector of Litton Cheney, Dorset.
