Lindsay Frederick Braun: Blue Books (L.S.T., or Listing on Local Service Terms, and given as a temporary appointment effective 26 Jun 1937). The job title is Wireless Officer (p172, 1937 BB). Pay 360 pounds p/a, and at the Kenya service (from LST). However, his 1938 listing (p177, 1938 BB) indicates that he was on “Civil Aviation Duties” at 380 p/a (which appears to have been the same raise for all wireless operators). Many of these officers were scooped up during the war in the Horn.
