Cass - a sturdy reliable Scot who joined the game department in 1956 played a major part in the Adamson's life. He gained valuable experience in lion-hunting with George, which he needed for his post in Garissa, an area plagued with man-eaters that had to be shot. ...... He and George shot a female lion in milk and Joy looked after the litter including Elsa.
Bwana - 10 or 12 years younger than George Adamson, came to Kenya after WW2 and joined the Game Dept. - Took over the Garissa district from George Adamson in 1961.
Sundown - 1955 - Game Warden at Kilifi. Tough, thick-set Scot.
