General Information:

Adventurers - 'Another man, called Langdon, an ex-naval officer, asked my advice prior to qualifying as an elephant hunter. I met him at Hoima, in Uganda, and gave him all the information I could. He was travelling with his wife and appeared to be a man of means. He was fortunate in his investments in EA, buying time after time plots and blocks of land in Nairobi and elsewhere, which increased rapidly and tremendously in value. In the Congo he soon got on good terms with the Belgian officials and his hunting days were rendered easy thereby. At last he had the misfortune to be charged by an elephant which severely wounded him, and after 3 days of suffering he died from his injuries.
