Thomson - Rabai - 1883 - service being conducted by Mr Jones, the native teacher ..... The singing, led by the preacher and accompanied by Mrs Shaw on the harmonium ....... I was hospitably greeted by Mrs Shaw and conducted to their house, which was originally built and occupied by Rebmann.

Instn. and CM Coll. 1881, June 29 Deacon by Bishop of London and Sept 21 Priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone at All Saints, Derby. Curate of Doddington, Cambs. 1881, Sept 29 to E. Africa Mission; 1881-87 Kisulitini. 1881 reports dedication, June 24 by Bishop Parker of the new church of St Paul at Kisulitini (Rabai). 1887, Frere Town; Nov 23 to England; 1888, Nov 6 return to E. Eq. Africa sanctioned to resume Secretaryship and charge of Frere Town on Mr Price's return home. Departure postponed. 1889, transferred temporarily to Mauritius to assist Bishop Royston in emergency; sailed Mar 30; Nov 5 appointed by Colonial Government Chaplain of Vacoas and Black River, Mauritius; left England Mar 30; 1890 invalided to England and connexion closed. ……….
