The family know very little about him except that he worked on the Uasin Gishu Railway construction and died of blackwater fever sometime between 1921-24. We have located a W.C. Coldbeck serving in the Nairobi Defence Force during the First World War, we wonder if this is William Coltart Coldbeck, either my Great Grandfather or my Great Uncle." - Jenny Tozer (née Smith - born in Nakuru 1960)
