KGF - Archibald Kane, a post office worker who died in Nairobi in Dec 1949 married Babs McCarthy from Cork, Ireland. 
Uganda Journal - Vol. 35, p. 46 - took over from A.G. Pagett in 1915 as the wireless operator at Entebbe watching for German messages to help the war effort. Kane was a member of the Post & Telegraph Dept.; he retired from Uganda as a Postmaster on 5/1/1933.
