The Katherine Bibby Hospital, Mombasa, was named after his wife in 1962. The maternity ward was built in 1960 from a generous donation from Katherine, and in 1962, in recognition of her munificence, the hospital was named after her. It was renamed the Mombasa Hospital in 1980.
