General Information:

He was closely associated with the Natural History Society from its inception. First came to Kenya in 1908 as chief taxidermist to the Smithsonian Institution Expedition led by Theodore Roosevelt. He was a member of the committee and vice president of the Natural History Society for many years and when it started the first Nairobi Museum in 1911 he prepared the initial exhibits, and from then on he was intimately associated with the work of the society and the three successive museums.
