East African Standard 7 Mar 1914 Mr WT Barlow, late of the agricultural department, and latterly manager of the Sokoki Estate, bled to death last Saturday as the result of a gun accident to his arm, which was completely shattered. The accident occurred on the deceased's shamba near Kilifi, and no medical attention was procureable. Mrs Barlow was present, but her efforts to stem the flow of blood were unavailing.
