Facebook RN Midshipman Anthony Edward Wishart Kenny, RAF Syerston, injuries to the brain due to a fracture of the base of the skull after the deceased jumped into the path of an oncoming car, died Newark General Hospital. Inquest held 30/8/1955 verdict accidental. Midshipman Kenny had stopped his car to help a motorist who had run out of fuel near RAF Syerston. He jumped over a puddle into the path of an oncoming car while going to fill it with a jerry can.
