East Africa & Rhodesia - 25/10/56 - Lieut.-Colonel C.V. Merritt of Mitubiri Kenya, will shortly pay his first visit to England for some 19 years. He served in East Africa throughout the last war, soon after the end of which he became the first chairman of the labour recruiting organisation set up by the coffee growers of Kenya. He was one of the original members of the Coffee Marketing Board, and he has served on the Thika district committee of the Production and Man-Power Board.
