General Information:
Among many buildings in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kampala, the present Cathedral of the Highlands was built by him in conjunction with an architectural firm in London. His name is on the foundation stone. He continued with alterations to the New Stanley. He also built the original St. Stephen's Church - so solidly built that when it came to be demolished to make way for new road alignment dynamite had to be used. He continued to be involved with the New Stanley Hotel even after his departure. He left in 1927. Source: Mrs R. Whiteing
