General Information:

RS - Emma Jane's [Nel] mother, Emma Jane Smith (née Aggett) William Alexander Smith's first wife, died when Emma Jane was 3 months old. Her aunt, Marjorie Aggett (née Smith) who had a baby, Ethel, about the same age, brought Emma Jane up until her father married Janet Peebles who was Marjorie Aggett's governess. Emmie and Willy were in Uganda for many years and when they left came to Laikipia and lived on Donald's Ol Moridjo until his return. Willy died and Emmie went to her children and later to S. Africa where she died in a home (The Village of Happiness) on the South Coast of Natal.
