General Information:

Glimpses - Other Jews, of varying degrees of religiosity, arrived in Kenya in various capacities. One was Sylvia Rosenberg Fraser, who came from South Africa after the war. She married a Gentile farmer in the Thika area and lived cut off from Jewish life; nevertheless 'Shelanu' saw fit to publish an admiring article about "A War Hero and a Leader in Our Midst" shortly before she died in 2003.
Letter from Sylvia Fraser 11 Jan 1997 I was very lucky during my army days as I served with very many important people including Lord Moyne, Mr Casey from Australia, on the staff of Field Marshal Wilson, General Alexander, General Robertson and in Italy on the combined Chiefs of Staff.
