Eldoret - The first two motor cars to arrive in Eldoret, one driven by Mr Sexton and the other by Major A.T. Cole, on a G.W.K. Friction disc car. The first returned to Nairobi, but the other hitting a rock on the road on to its owner's farm at Moiben, broke the friction disc, and there and then ended its useful life! This feat took place in 1913.
