One of the original '500' men in the Kenya Regt. in 1937. (KR 130) Returning to Kenya after school in 1933, he boarded with Douglas Impey and his wife, living in a small wooden guest house at Hope Farm. Impey was acting as manager and he instructed Belfrage in farming.
