East African Standard 21 Feb 1914 We learned that Mr James Crawford was fatally shot while examining a shotgun in his room. After he had finished his examination he put the gun against a camp chair; about 10 minutes later, a report was heard, and upon investigations being made, Mr Crawford was found shot through the neck. He was quite dead. What caused the gun to go off is, as yet, unknown.An inquest was held at Nakuru.
