Ancestry A man of the same name married 28 Dec1895 in Battersea Alice Matilda Bolton b. 1857, bookkeeper [but this would mean he did not die in 1890]

Frederick Jackson, Early Days in East Africa, 1930  Edmunds of West African experience worked in the Smith Mackenzie office in Mombasa with Buchanon. He was affectionately known as the 'Oil River Ruffian', knew all about safari life and was most helpful in every way. When hge was invalided home within a year and shortly afterwards died, we up country people lost a real good friend.
