EAS 26 Apr 1937 He joined the railway as a signal apprentice in 1909. Then he became a training clerk, a guard and for some time was Asssistant station master at Nairobi and was later Station Master at Kajiado. He was afterwards promoted to be an Assistant Traffic Superintendent and later a Traffic Superintendent. He leaves a widow and two sons and two daughters, all living in Nairobi. His mother is also in Nairobi, being in charge of the European Running Room of the railway at Nairobi.
