EAS 18 Mar 1954 Mr Roy Mayers, an estate manager, armed only with a revolver, led 35 of his Kikuyu labourers to attack a gang of about equal strength in the wood. He drove them into a gully where, with the help of police reinforcements, 6 terrorists were killed.
