In 1933 he was engaged to Molly Mallinson [another name for Amelia Rosalie.
Dorri Roughley Molly's grandfather was German and at the beginning of WW1 Molly's brother, father and uncles changed their surname from Schloesser to Mallinson (Molly's grandmother's maiden name). I have found no evidence that Molly officially changed her surname, but she does appear to have used both surnames.]
