Interview of Joan Considine by Christine Nicholls 2 July 2002: Miss Kerby was like a stately galleon. She did not allow you to speak to your brother in the primary school. She was an old dragon. She left and Miss Stott came in May 1942 from England. She was welcoming and interested in everyone, having people to tea in groups and not daunting at all.
