Obituary in East African Standard 28 Nov 1925 He went to Kenya about 1911 as the secretary of a newly formed Land Owners Association, at the instance of Lord Delamere. The Association declined after a short time and Mr Donnelly was thereafter connected in a secretarial capacity with the Convention of Associations. At a later stage he was secretary to the Sir Northrop Macmillan and the Macmillan Estates. In more recent years he was secretary to the Taxpayers Protection Society. On the formation of the Reform Party a few years ago Donnelly also became secretary to the elected members of the Legislative Council.
