Gazette - 1/12/1905 - Obituary - It is with great regret that the death is announced of Mr B.L.H. Hiley Assistant Collector at Kitui on 18 inst of black water fever after a few days illness. Though he had not been long in the Protectorate service his appointment dating from May 8 1903 he had gained a good knowledge of administrative work and won the confidence of his superiors. In him the Protectorate loses a promising and capable officer.
