General Information:

According to Ancestry,  all the children after Hubert John had a different mother from Rosetta. But this must be wrong - she is named as mother of Leslie, and she is with all her children in Ancestry Passenger List in 1920
Hilary Condon - Engine Fitter in 1908 - awarded an OBE in 1936 and died of a heart attack while enroute to UK for a holiday with his wife, on 14 Feb 1937. He was buried at sea. The ship was SS Matiana, and a letter was posted in Aden from O.H. Dewhurst informing the Loco Superintendent, H. Blin Stoyle, of this news. The letter describes Jack as "a man of retiring disposition, but sterling qualities, who was liked and appreciated by all with whom he came into touch".
Hilary Condon - Soon after Hubert's birth the family set sail for East Africa where Jack worked for the Kenya Uganda Railway & harbours Corporation servicing steamers on Lake Victoria. The supplement to the London Gazette of 3 June 1935 lists 'John William Condon Esq., Instructor (Locomotive) 1st Class, Railways and Harbours, Kenya and Uganda.'
